| Copperfasten now includes Disclaimers | ||
| 21-December-2005 - Copperfasten Technologies; Ltd.
Copperfasten have just announced the latest firmware release of the Copperfasten Mail Firewall Appliance. Version 3.03 includes a number of significant enhancements, not least of which is the facility to include disclaimers on outward bound email and the seamless integration of Kaspersky Anti Virus into the administrator interface. According to Sales Director Ronan Kavanagh "Customers and market feedback has indicated that the majority of companies have three fundamental requirements when it comes to an email gateway solution, anti virus protection, anti spam protection and the ability to include disclaimers on outgoing email. In fact what we see is the complexity of many solutions eventually leading to inefficiencies as IT administrators struggle to navigate unfamiliar and complicated products. The overall design strategy for Copperfasten is that IT Managers will have to log on to the Copperfasten Appliance as infrequently as possible, but when they have to, it is intuitive and simple to use. The latest release again fits with this strategy." Copperfasten has always included the ability to scan all outgoing email for spam, viruses and content as standard. This release will now allow customers to include disclaimers in all outgoing email. Customers can choose the text of the disclaimer to fit with their company policy which can be customized for each of the companies’ domains. As always Copperfasten has continued to focus on the protection of company email. This release contains several new measures to further improve the Copperfasten Mails Firewall’s ability to accurately identify and nullify new and emerging threats to email. The introduction of Sender Policy Framework (SPF) allows customers to validate the sender of a message by checking the Envelope-from address to the sending domains DNS record. When enabled, this will prevent incoming email with forged email addresses from being received. As the nature of spam email continues to become every more complex and increases in volume Copperfasten has upgraded the underlying anti spam engine to maintain its 98.5% accuracy in identifying Spam. The efficiency of the Copperfasten solution in processing email has also been improved. With the addition of local caching, repeated DNS requests will now be cached. This will significantly reduce network traffic due to DNS lookups and improve the overall system efficiency, giving the solution even greater scalability. To aid this further the Mail viewer has been enhanced to give more details on all emails processed by the system. "This release again distinguishes Copperfasten as a company that produces solutions that are at the forefront technologically but also delivers on the practical requirements of today business needs." says Ronan Kavanagh.
