Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) has more than 11,000 users, is the sole provider of higher education in the southeast and the second largest Institute of Technology in the country. Therefore the ongoing management of Spam is vital from both an end-user and IT Administration point of view. The institute has a diverse group of users, staff and students across a wide range of locations and disciplines, so they require the ability to implement differing policies regarding the identification and management of spam down to the user level.
